To address undiagnosed vision impairment in underserved communities, OTT partnered with Om Prakash Eye Hospital, Preet Opticals, Civil Hospital Ajnala, World Cancer Care & FLO Amritsar. Comprehensive eye examinations, free spectacles, and surgical referrals were provided at no cost to beneficiaries.

Background

The camp was organised as a preventive healthcare and workplace wellness initiative for women workers associated with the Amritsar Swadeshi Textile Corporation. Conducted on-site, the camp focused on improving access to essential eye care services, early detection of vision-related concerns, and overall health awareness among grassroots industrial workers.

Rationale

Women working in industrial environments often face limited access to preventive healthcare services. This initiative bridged that gap by bringing accessible healthcare directly to the workplace while promoting awareness around eye care, occupational wellness, and early intervention.
