Together for Tiny Hearts

Project: Together for Tiny Hearts – Ludhiana

Led by Neerav Bansal in partnership with OTT Foundation & SPS Hospitals, this initiative is designed to directly address the pediatric heart health crisis through a structured, three-phase approach that combines screening, diagnostics & treatment.

• Phase I: Screening – Screen 1,000 children across schools, anganwadis, slum clusters, and rural outreach camps.
• Phase II: Diagnostics and Monitoring – Refer identified children for echocardiography, ECG, and blood investigations.
• Phase III: Surgeries and Treatment – Facilitate 10–15 life-saving cardiac surgeries for children diagnosed with congenital or acquired heart conditions.

Location and Implementation

The initiative will be implemented across Ludhiana district, covering schools, anganwadis, slum clusters, and rural peripheries. Field activities, screenings, and community engagement will be coordinated by OTT Foundation, while SPS Hospital Ludhiana will serve as the Medical & Knowledge Partner, providing clinical oversight, diagnostic facilities, and surgical expertise.

Expected Impact

• 1,000 children screened for heart conditions and nutritional deficiencies.
• 500 children supported through supplement kits and counselling.
• 150–200 children undergo diagnostic evaluations (ECHO/ECG).
• 10–15 children receive life-saving surgeries.
• Strengthened awareness, early intervention, and referral systems across Ludhiana.
• Foundation for a scalable, replicable pediatric cardiac care model across Punjab.

Together for Tiny Hearts – Ludhiana envisions a future where no child is denied the chance to live because of poverty or lack of awareness. Through collaboration between medical institutions, civil society, and compassionate partners, we aim to ensure that every tiny heart in Ludhiana beats strong.
